Funding
Your PTA membership dues and tax-deductible donations provide school funding for:

Events
Your PTA seeks to create a sense of community and encourage parental engagement from all families through activities, family fun events, and community outreach. We organize parent-hosted Panda Parties in the Fall and International Day in the Spring to help raise money for the PTA.
Fall Events
Fall Drive
Our annual direct ask campaign includes a class competition to obtain 100% participation. Prizes are awarded to each class which meets the goal.
Panda Parties
Parents, teachers and staff signup to “host” an event, workshop, or party on a date & time of their choosing. College Park families go online to sign-up to attend the parties or events and pay the requested donation to the PTA.
Fall Book Fair
Volunteers help staff the Book Fair to raise money for the school library book fund.
Confucius Day
Students celebrate the birthday of this sage educator by bringing a flower for each of their teachers; volunteers assemble the flowers into bouquets.
Mid-Autumn Moon Festival
The PTA & FMS co-host this festival that will focus on community building through fun and educational activities such as lantern decorating, student performances, fundraising jukebox & karaoke, moon cake tasting and so much more!

Winter & Spring Events
Literacy Week
Volunteers work with teachers and staff to organize a week to encourage a love of reading, featuring a guest author, community readers, and more.
Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week
Volunteers plan a special week to thank College Park’s amazing educators. Events include a luncheon, farmer's market and other surprises.
Art & Science Day
We bring the field trip to College Park! Scientists, artists and other educators come to campus for a day of up-close, hands-on learning for students. Parents are needed to teach or assist with small-group workshops and to chaperone students.
Movie Night
Families come together in the school gym on a Friday night to watch a favorite movie among friends. Volunteers needed to assist at event.
Summer Events
Field Day
The second to last day of school includes an afternoon of fun games. Parents help to organize and staff the games and to provide a healthy watermelon snack.
Health & Wellness Week
Parents, teachers and staff assemble a week of fun ways to encourage healthy living, eating and exercise.
